DAAC 1311 - Counseling Theories

An introduction to major theories of various treatment modalities including Reality therapy, Psycho-dynamic, grief therapy, Client-centered therapy, Rational-Emotive Therapy, cognitive-behavioral approaches such as life skills training, behavior modification, and the introduction to experiential therapies as they relate to detoxification, residential, outpatient, and extended treatment. Prerequisites/Corequisites: DAAC 1319.
