ITNW 2352 - Administering SQL Server


3 Hours (3-1)
This is a skills development course in the installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of SQL Servers client/server database management system version. Students will describe SQL Server architecture; plan for a SQL Server installation; install SQL Server and configure SQL Server; manage files and databases; choose a login security method; and configure login security. Plan and implement database permissions; back up databases and restore databases; automate administrative tasks using SQL Server Agent; create custom administrative tools; transfer and migrate data into databases; monitor SQL Server performance; and replicate data from one SQL Server to another. Prerequisites: ITSE 1345
