RNSG 1412 - Nursing Care of the Childbearing and Childrearing Family

Study of the concepts related to the provision of nursing care for childbearing and childrearing families. Application of clinical reasoning processes and clinical judgment, including a focus on the childbearing family during the prenatal, perinatal, postnatal periods and the childrearing family from birth to adolescence; and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of all RNSG courses from the previous semester - traditional option. Corequisite(s): RNSG 2262, traditional option; RNSG 1161, bridge option.
