ITSE 1394 - Special Topics in Computer Science

Topics include recovery procedures, logical backups, standby database capabilities, and performance tuning of the database server. Common performance problems and the use of diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and optimize throughout will be discussed. List the database backup and recovery components; formulate a backup and recovery strategy; practice backup and recovery operations; use database tools to diagnose performance problems; and optimize and troubleshoot database performance.
