IRWD 0371 - Integrated Reading & Writing II 3 Hours (3-1)
READ TSI 201-229, COMPASS 64-80. This course surveys a variety of reading materials. Students will learn to locate explicit textual information, draw complex inferences, and describe, analyze, and evaluate the information within the across multiple texts of varying lengths. Students will learn how to use vocabulary effectively, describe and apply insights gained from reading and writing a variety of texts. Students will learn effective editing strategies, generate ideas from texts, recognize and apply the conventions of Standard English, and compose college-level writing assignments. This course is not for college credit. The reading TSI score will calculate placement in this course. Students in this course are required to take a co-requisite PREP 0170 student success course.
