RNSG 1412 - Nursing Care of the Childbearing and Childrearing Family 4 Hours (3-4-0) This course is a study of the concepts related to the provision of nursing care for childbearing and childrearing families; application of systematic problem-solving processes and critical thinking skills, including a focus on the childbearing family during preconception, prenatal, perinatal, antpartum, neonatal and postpartum periods and the childrearing family from birth to adolescence; and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to either a blocked or integrated approach. Prerequisites: Completion of Semester II courses or permission of the program chair. Click here for course scheduling information.
