The dual credit Pharmacy Technician Program provides knowledge and competency in the field of pharmacy. Coursework includes a study of drug classifications, medical terminology related to the pharmaceutical industry, legal/ethical issues, safety and infection control, dosage calculations, and operational procedures in the role of a pharmacy technician. The program offers state-of-the- art equipment and connections to our local medical community through clinical placement. Completion of the program provides preparation for industry certification through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) as a Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT).
Suggested prior coursework includes Health Sciences Foundations and math competency.
Note: Pharmacy Technician courses are also offered to adult learners as a continuing education (CE) course.
