Radiographers operate x-ray machines in the diagnosis of disease, and may go on to specialize in CT scanning, MRI or other related fields. Satisfactory completion of the program qualifies the graduate to take the certifying examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and to apply for MRT certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services. This course is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology. A balanced curriculum combines classroom and laboratory instruction with supervised practicums at local medical imaging centers.

Special Admission Requirements: The Radiography Program has limited enrollment based on specific admission criteria. Students seeking information on the admission criteria should contact the Midland College Health Sciences Division or the Odessa College Health Science Division.
